Our History

UPLP owner Kyle Banks was born, raised, and still lives today in Orangeville, Ontario. As a young pre-teen entrepreneur, Kyle saved up money to buy his own lawnmower and went door-to-door asking neighbours if they’d like to have their lawns mowed. That first year 5 folks signed up; word got around, and the next summer, more neighbours wanted in on this great new lawn service. Every year since then the business has (at least) doubled in size and Kyle has never looked back.

Kyle’s Dad and mentor is also a local small business owner experienced in the construction industry, and he saw to it that over the years Kyle acquired a thorough knowledge of landscaping, hardscape and renovations.

In 2008 University Pro Landscapers & Paving was officially established, and each year their lawn & garden care skills, landscaping and construction knowledge, equipment and clients, has grown in size and scope. UPLP now offers landscaping services, hardscape (retaining walls, water features, pools, spas, driveways, decks, etc. ) and interior renovation services.

To this day Kyle treats every client and job with the same professionalism, approachability, and commitment to doing top-quality work, that propelled his fledgling lawn mowing summer job into a thriving year-round business. He loves the variety of the work and the satisfaction that comes from standing back and looking at a completed job, knowing the customer’s going to be happy with it.
